Our 5th Anniversary Principle Trust Ball is taking place on Saturday 23rd April at the Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley. The ball will be raising money for Louie’s Appeal. Louie is a young boy who contracted meningitis and when his family thought things couldn’t get much worse he was diagnosed with septicaemia. The only way to save his life was to amputate his legs, left hand and the tips of his right fingers.  The aim of the appeal is to send Louie and his family on a much deserved holiday so they can get away and enjoy themselves.

On the night we will be having an auction and all proceeds will be going towards Louie’s appeal. There are lot’s of fantastic auction prices including a trip to the Monaco Grand Prix and a holiday to a luxury villa in Lanzarotte.

2016 Principle Trust 1,000,000 metre challenge.

A number of Principle Healthcare Ltd employees have set themselves the individual challenge of completing 1,000,000 metres. Participants have opted for their chosen sport, some are rowing, others running, there are even participants who have chosen to complete the distance by doing 2,500,000 steps. The challenge isn’t the way you do it its how you do it within your own capability.

To date we have, 16 employees registered to complete the Challenge, which would be a massive 16,000,000 metres, equating to 16,000 kilometres or 10,000 miles. If we were to all jump on a bus leave Skipton and set off in a southerly direction the combined result would take us via France, Spain, Algeria, Republic of Niger, Nigeria, Chad, South Sudan, DR Congo, Zambia, Botswana, into South Africa, down to Cape town and a further 1,300 kilometres into the South Atlantic Ocean.

Giant Chocolate Santa Donation

“The Principle Trust were delighted to receive this giant Chocolate Santa which was kindly donated by Skipton Cricket Club recently. This was actually won by someone during one of the Cricket Club’s Christmas Market Stall events during December, and they very kindly donated it back to the Cricket Club in the hope that they would be able to offer it to ‘children’… what better charity than The Principle Trust to donate it to!

The Principle Trust will auction it off at their next fundraising event, and we would like to thank the mystery donator.”

The 2nd Big Skipton Quiz

“Brain Power helped to raise funds towards seaside holidays for disadvantaged children in North Yorkshire and Lancashire.

The Principle Trust has held its second Big Skipton Quiz during October.  A total of 24 teams gathered at The Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton; the winners, decided by a tie-breaker, were The Bookworms, a team from Skipton Library, who also won the title last year.”

A Record Year !

2014 was a record year for The Principle Trust!

We purchased our 3rd  holiday home, and we have now helped a record 202 children to enjoy a holiday; creating some everlasting memories of fun and excitement!

We have also been very busy forging lots of new relationships with local children’s organisations ensuring that we can reach those children who really need a holiday.

We have been supported by donors including Ilkley Rotary Club,  and The Mayor of Skipton selected to support us as one of his charities during his Mayoral year.

Our fundraising programme has included events linked with Oakbank School in Keighley, Skipton Girls High School & Craven College, exhibiting at Kilnsey Show, and we raised an outstanding £1200 by opening our car parks during the Tour de France.

Fundraising events are always taking place – watch out for the next event! And  if you have any new ideas, please share them with us !

Volunteers are always required – If you think you could offer any help or support, or have any fantastic new ideas please let us know!

An event not to be missed is our 2015 Black Tie Ball which will be held again at the Coniston Hotel on Valentine’s Day, Sat 14th Feb.
